There are five operating theatres in IAH, each dedicated to special purposes. One is dedicated for endoscopic Neuro-surgery, two for brain surgery and two for spine surgeries. All operation theatres are well equipped with state of the art facilities and equipment. They are manned by expert talented medical professionals & dedicated nurses trained to handle complicated surgeries.
Indo American Hospital has three ICU s for Pre- and post-operative care of which two are dedicated for surgical cases, and one dedicated only for stroke cases. They provide sophisticated care and life support to patients who are acutely and critically ill. Specially trained nurses provide round-the-clock care and monitoring. The ICUs are equipped with cutting edge technology and state of the art equipment like monitoring machines, ventilators etc.
IAH has 200 beds for in-patients; of these, general wards have 20 beds; private rooms, 40 A/C rooms, 20 non A/C rooms and 10 deluxe rooms which help to accommodate patients from all strata of the society. The general wards at IAH are meticulously maintained patient care spaces, with all basic facilities. All the beds are set well apart from each other, to give maximum privacy to patients. The IAH rooms are spacious, aesthetically designed and well-lit, with large windows. All wards and the rooms are provided with excellent facilities, are purpose-built, and equipped with all neuro-related treatment and emergency care equipment.
IAH offers comprehensive in-patient care services which comprises health promotion, disease prevention, diagnostics and rehabilitation. Unlike in other general hospitals, the OT, ICU, and wards at IAH are all managed by personnel who are qualified and experienced in the field of neurology and neuro-surgery with the experience of attending to thousands of patients during the last years of our existence.
The IAH hospital pharmacy is dedicated to extend the benefit to all those involved in patient care. The Pharmacy is well stocked and provides all the drugs including imported drugs that are prescribed by the doctors. To ensure quality, the pharmacy department has taken steps for quality testing of drugs dispensed in the pharmacy.
IAH has a well-equipped laboratory with state-of-the-art modular systems, automated analyzers and other equipment that render accurate and precise test results in the shortest time possible. The Laboratory is integrated with the Hospital Information System (HIS) to facilitate immediate and efficient zero-error flow of information/results to the concerned Department. The laboratory is managed by a team of highly experienced doctors, technicians and ancillary staff who follow stringent quality control measures to ensure unmatched accuracy and precision in results and rapid turn-around time. The Laboratory is integrated with the Hospital Information System (HIS) to facilitate immediate and efficient or flow of information to the concerned Department.
As every second is crucial in emergencies, the 24-hour casualty unit at IAH provides crucial emergency care, with utmost efficiency. Equipped to meet the requirements of emergency situations and trauma care, the casualty is ably supported by neurosurgeons and other doctors on call, round the clock. The team of trained and experienced Doctors, Paramedics and Nurses here is well trained to extend immediate medical care to critically ill or injured Patients.
Everyday Blood transfusions assist in saving countless lives. The IAH Blood Bank collects and preserves blood for transfusion in emergencies. It has a vast array of state of the art equipment for its smooth functioning, which include: Deep Freezers, heavy duty Refrigerated Centrifuge for the separation of components at different speeds, Platelet Agitators, Cryobath, Tube Sealers and Blood Collection Monitors etc.
A Cafeteria functions in IAH to serve the food to the staff as well as for patient attendees. It is designed to serve wholesome and hygienic meals to our patients and attendants & uses the best equipment to minimize human contact with food items for the highest levels of hygiene. The menu for all patients is prescribed by the Dietary Department based on their specific requirements.
IAH has specially adapted ambulances to be used to transport people with disabilities, the elderly and non-emergency patients to and from the hospital. It will help patients who have undergone surgical procedures in the hospital and have been released to rest at home, people referred for hospital treatment by physicians, and the transfer of patients from other hospitals to IAH. Taxi services are also available round-the-clock from the Hospital.
