Endovascular Neurosurgery / Interventional neuroradiology is also known by various names

Interventional Neurology, Neuro-interventional surgery, Neuro-interventional radiology, Interventional neurosurgery, Endovascular surgical neuroradiology. Interventional neuroradiology/ Endovascular Neurosurgery was first developed in 1927 by the Portuguese physician Egas Moniz to provide contrasted x-ray angiography in order to diagnose several kinds of vascular diseases. However, the endovascular techniques to treat neurovascular diseases was revolutionized and systematized only since last 2-3 decades. Several journals were started since last decade, dedicating to this branch. Major neuroradiological and neurosurgical journals have given prime importance to this rapidly growing fascinating branch.
